Ann Fidler, Dean
Ann Fidler began her term as the dean of the Honors Tutorial College in July 2002. Before becoming dean, she was a faculty member in Ohio University's Department of History. Fidler received a J.D. and a Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley. She graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Kansas with a B.A. honors degree and a triple major in History, Art History and English. She is the author of publications in the field of legal history and legal culture, and is currently working on a biography of Albert G. Riddle-- a nineteenth-century lawyer, novelist and politician who was one of the first professors at Howard University Law School.
Jan Hodson, Assistant Dean
Jan Hodson became the assistant dean of the Honors Tutorial College in 2001 after serving as the College's program coordinator for two years. Hodson is from Athens and graduated from Ohio University in 1973 with a BS in Interior Design. In 1977 she earned a paralegal certificate from Capital University Law School. After working in Ohio University's Development Office from 1979 to 1989, she earned her M.S. in Child Development and Family Studies from Ohio University in 1996.
