Cary Frith
Communications Manager, Fellowship Advisor
Cary joined the Office of Nationally Competitive Awards from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism faculty. In addition to her fellowship advising duties, she manages internal and external communication for the Honors Tutorial College, ONCA, and the Honors & Scholars Network. She also teaches HTC courses.
She received a Park Doctoral Fellowship at the University of North Carolina’s School of Journalism & Mass Communication, so she understands the competitive application process firsthand and knows how difficult it can be to succinctly communicate research and career goals. She looks forward to helping students clarify and share their aspirations.
Cary worked for more than a decade in magazine, newsletter, and online journalism before entering the academy. She is an alumna of the Honors Tutorial College and is excited to be working in Park Place.
